In order to be able to transport goods all over the world, it usually requires larger transport vehicles or ships. However, in most cases, the consignor does not have a suitable means of transport, so one must be hired. If it is a ship, this process is called "chartering".
Of course, the customer is responsible as a "charterer" for any damage that occurs during use. Here it is therefore urgently necessary to carry out an accurate inventory of the "actual condition" of the ship, so as not to be held liable for any damage that the "charterer" is not responsible for.

ON / OFF-HIRE SURVEY THROUGH GERMAN SURVEY MARINE

Of course, our nautical-technical appraisers are at your disposal when it comes to a professional recording and documentation of the condition of the vessel to be chartered. This status determination is carried out by us at the beginning and at the end of the journey, so that you can always prove completely, for which damage you can be held responsible and for which not.

NO ON / OFF HIRING WITHOUT BUNKER SURVEY

So that you, as a charterer, can not be surprised out of the blue with an excessively high fuel bill, German Survey Marine also carries out a so-called bunker survey in addition to the on / off-hiring survey. Here we determine and document the exact amount of fuel in the ship before and after the journey. So in the end, you really only pay for what you actually used.

BUTTON AND STICKS DOCUMENTATION

As usual with German Survey Marine, as a charterer you will receive all certificates, reports or other documents related to the inspection. So you are always on the safe side in case of dispute.
